(Rapaport…March 27, 2001) Samuel A. Getz, president of Mayor’s Jewelers, Inc., resigned, effective immediately, on March 23. The company said that Getz will continue to work for the company as a consultant, focusing his efforts on Mayor’s sales force, new product development and marketing.
“My new arrangement allows me to continue my relationship with Mayor’s while pursuing other business interests and investments,” Getz said in a statement.
Mayor’s Jewelers currently operates in 34 locations in the United States.
