RAPAPORT... Swiss watchmaker Bovet 1822 created a timepiece that commemorates the Chinese New Year, which ushers in the year of the goat. The Amadeo Fleurier Monsieur Bovet, a 2015 novelty that was first unveiled in Geneva one month ago, is presented in 18-karat red gold and features a miniature painting of a goat on a white lacquered dial. The miniature painting was done by hand by a Bovet artisan.
As with other timepieces in the Amadeo series, this Amadeo case allows the timepiece to be converted without tools from a reversible wristwatch to a table clock or pocket watch. Incorporating the Virtuoso II specialty caliber, this Bovet timepiece features a dual display of hours, minutes and seconds on both sides of the movement.
The timepiece will be on display at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas on February 22 to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
