RAPAPORT... Yury Okoemov, one of Alrosa’s deputy CEOs and head of its diamond-cutting division, is leaving the Russian miner, the company said Tuesday.
Okoemov has been with the Alrosa since 1993. After his departure, employees of the cutting business will report directly to
Sergey Ivanov, Alrosa’s CEO.
Meanwhile, Alexander Matveev, a 10-year veteran and the head
of Alrosa’s legal department, is also leaving the company. All
workers who previously reported to him will be supervised by Konstantin
Mashinsky, another deputy CEO of Alrosa.
Additionally, Alexander Terentiev, adviser to the CEO and
head of the miner’s office in Yakutsk, left the company this month to become first
deputy head of the Committee for Precious Metals and Precious Stones of
Yakutia.
“For many years of work in the company, Yury Okoemov,
Alexander Matveev and Alexander Terentiev have shown themselves to be true
professionals who contributed a lot to the company’s leading position in the
global market, helped to strengthen its reputation and [to] protect [its] interests
in the legal field,” Ivanov said.
