Now there’s a new answer to the age-old question, “What’s
your sign?” The jewelry firm
What’s Your Sign? that specializes in
astrological-themed jewelry has introduced its Elements collection, which
focuses on an artistic representation of the four elements used in astrology:
air, earth, fire and water. Each sterling silver sculptured and carved Element
pendant hangs from either a gemstone or sterling silver chain and is accented
with gems.
Catherine Marion, corporate finance attorney turned jewelry
designer, recently launched her own brand
Jemily, named for her two daughters
Jennifer and Emily. Marion studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT)
and later worked for designer Sharyn Wolf, whose work became an inspiration.
Following a stint at Azul Partners, a design house focusing on bridal jewelry,
Marion decided to create her own collection. Her designs are influenced by
ancient spiritual icons, architectural elements and nature. Marion’s jewelry is
modern in form and crafted in gold with diamonds or colored gemstones. Handmade
in New York City, the collection was recently selected by the World Gold
Council (WGC) for its 2012 Look Book.
Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers group of
companies, celebrated the debut of the
House of Waris for Forevermark at a gala
cocktail party at the National Arts Club in New York City. Designer
Waris
Ahluwalia chose to use Forevermark diamonds in his creations due to the
responsible sourcing and high quality of the stones. For the event, Ahluwalia
designed a pendant to represent the new
Forevermark Center of My UniverseTM
concept that focuses on the idea of a woman as the emotional center of those
around her. The pendant showcases a 14.58-carat Forevermark oval diamond with
spokes of diamond pavé radiating from the center. The Center of My Universe
theme will be used in television commercials, online and for in-store
advertising. For the important fourth quarter, advertising will feature the
ever popular halo setting design as a beacon product, creating emotional
relevance around the concept of a woman as the core of her family’s life,
keeping the thousands of elements that make up their world in motion. Ads will
appear online, on social media and in magazines and newspapers.
Award-winning designer

conflict-free diamonds, has added some new pieces to his collection. Parada
