PRODUCTS OFFERED: Certificates for colored stones and diamonds. Colored diamond and gemological courses.
CERTIFICATES/REPORTS: Three kinds of certificates offered, all of which can be issued in one language (English) or two languages (French and English).
The Gemological Card: a credit-card-sized report for diamonds and colored stones.
The Gemological Report: a full-size report with complete data for diamonds, colored diamonds and colored stones that also addresses the country of origin for rubies, emeralds, alexandrites, sapphires and fancy sapphires. The detection of oil and resin also can be performed for emeralds and will be mentioned on the report upon client request.
Special Reports for diamonds and gemstones that show rare properties. Includes microphotography of inclusions for diamonds and gemstones, allowing for the identification and re-identification of the stone and acting like the fingerprint or “passport” of the stone.
DIAMOND CERTIFICATES/REPORTS:
The Gemological Card : For colorless diamonds, it includes the weight, color, clarity, shape and cut and the dimensions of the diamond.
The Gemological Report: For colored and colorless diamonds. Includes weight, color, clarity, shape and cut, dimensions, fluorescence, cut grade, polish, symmetry, proportions and the plot of the inclusion of each diamond. The colored diamond gemological report can be issued with or without the clarity grade.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: Advanced gemological courses on diamonds, colored diamonds and colored stones. The courses are focused on natural versus synthetic stone identification, as well as on the detection of treatments. Each course contains one theory section and one practical section. The practical part includes the use of standard gemological equipment, including stereomicroscope and UV lamps, as well as infrared spectrometer and UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometers.
